Michael Radunz - Managing Director

Michael Radunz is one of the Managing Directors of GOAL, Gruenwald, Germany. Born in 1961 and raised in Berlin, Radunz gained a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Berlin in 1985.

Michael Radunz began his professional career as a project manager at Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) GmbH, where he was involved in the X-31 project and the Eurofighter flight control system development, among others. At that time one of the leading German military aircraft manufactures, MBB has since become a part of Daimler-Chrysler-Aerospace.

In 1990, Radunz joined Lufthansa German Airlines as a project manager in the Technical Division. Initially responsible for Airbus single-aisle-aircraft, he was appointed manager of the A310-200 sales project in the Aircraft Sales department in 1993, in which capacity he handled the freighter conversion for Federal Express and several other sales and leasing deals with Lufthansa aircraft.

In 1995, Michael Radunz became the Lufthansa Resident Representative at Airbus Industrie in Toulouse, France, responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process and for the delivery of more than 20 Lufthansa aircraft as well as numerous aircraft for other airlines.

Returning to Frankfurt am Main in April 1997, he joined the Aircraft Leasing and Sales department, managing transactions mainly for the Lufthansa subsidiaries, Condor and Lufthansa Cargo. In mid-1998 he became Technical Director of GOAL. In November 2000, Michael Radunz was appointed Managing Director of GOAL.

Throughout his professional career, Radunz has been at pains to acquire additional qualifications, mainly in the fields of quality management, economics, leasing and law. This broad spectrum of technical and commercial experience makes him highly competent in virtually every area of the aviation business.

Michael Radunz is married with two children. In his spare time he pursues his interests in sports – concentrating on skiing and golf.
